29 CFR 1910.176(c): Storage areas were not kept free from accumulation of materials that constituted hazards from tripping, fire, explosion or pest harborage: On or about October 9, 2019 and times prior, the employer did not keep aisles and storage racks in the following areas of the warehouse free of broken wooden pallets, cardboards, electric cords, chemical hoses, empty bags of chips, empty cans of soda and foam cups that constituted hazards such as tripping, electrical, and/or pest harborage: a. On the east side by the chemicals were pieces of PVC pipes, damaged cartons, electrical cords, chemical hoses, plastic bags, damaged metal sheets, broken woods, empty buckets, drums, and broken pallets. b. On the south side were empty cans of soda drinks, piles of assorted garbage, paper bags, empty cartons, empty chemical buckets, plastic drums, and pallets. c. On the west side were broken pallet pieces, cardboards, and empty cartons. d. In the north east front side of the facility were broken pallets, cardboards, empty buckets, and drums. Nu-Way Products Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.176(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1375716, citation number 2, item number 1/c and was affirmed as a final order on 08/21/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 220 Garrison Avenue, West Memphis, AR 72301.
