29 CFR 1910.304(f)(1)(i):Conductors and equipment shall be protected from overcurrent in accordance with their ability to safely conduct current. On or about April 12, 2021, the employer did not ensure the conductors of a 30 amp, 480 volt branch circuit and receptacle outlet used to power a 30 amp, 480 volt potable welder machine, were protected from overcurrent in accordance with their ability to safety conduct current. The overcurrent protective devices being utilized were 150 amp fuses, which were not sufficient to protect the 30 amp branch circuit, 30 amp receptacle outlet, and 30 amp portable welder machine.
