29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed On or about January 22, 2016, during the installation of roofing materials on a newly constructed residential home located on lot 120 Stag Thicket, Brunswick, Ohio 44212, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet by extending the ladder 3 feet over the roof landing area.
