29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels are not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor are employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b). a. Casey Bortles worksite located in Waterville, Ohio: The employer does not ensure employees are protected from fall hazards of 8 feet 10 inches when performing residential roofing operations, as observed on October 26, 2017, at The Colony at Waterville Landing off Pray Blvd. To abate this hazard, the employer must provide fall protection for employees exposed to fall hazards greater than six feet above a lower level.
