29 CFR 1926.651(j)(2): Protection was not provided by placing and keeping excavated or other materials or equipment at least 2 feet (.61m) from the edge of excavations, or by the use of retaining devices that were sufficient to prevent materials or equipment from falling or rolling into excavations, or by a combination of both if necessary: Location: In a trench located at the intersection of Farm Rd and Macy Rd in Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510 a) On or about November 20th, 2019, employees were working in an approximately 7ft deep trench by 5ft wide and 12ft long with vertical earth walls exposed to struck by hazards due to the stock pile and other materials being within 2 feet from the edge of excavations.
