29 CFR 1910.502(l)(3)(i)(B): Notify all other employees who were not wearing a respirator and any other required PPE and worked in a well-defined portion of a workplace (e.g., a particular floor) in which that person was present during the potential transmission period. The potential transmission period runs from 2 days before the person felt sick (or, for asymptomatic people, 2 days prior to test specimen collection) until the time the person is isolated. The notification must specify the date(s) the person with COVID-19 was in the workplace during the potential transmission period. VA Oakland Outpatient Clinic: On September 23, 2021, two employees had a close interaction in the mail room while performing their job duties. One of the employees was not wearing a face mask while they were within less than six feet distance. On September 24, 2021, the employee who had not been wearing a mask, started to have symptoms related to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. On September 27, 2021, they were tested-positive for COVID-19. The other employee was not notified of their possible exposure.
