29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allowed, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed. On or about 19 December 2023 four employees of Interior & Exterior Construction Inc. were observed working on a residential roof at 3110 Bear View Court in Wentzville, Missouri. The ladder used to access the roof was not extended three feet above the upper landing surface. REPEAT- Interior & Exterior Construction Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1705714, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/30/2024, with respect to a workplace located at 260 High Park, Foristell, MO 63348.
