29 CFR 1910.1025(f)(2)(i):The employer did not implement a respiratory protection program in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.134(b) through (d) (except (d)(1)(iii)), and (f) through (m) for each employee required by 29 CFR 1910.1025 to use a respirator: Location: Mirion Technologies (Capintec), Inc., 7 Vreeland Road, Florham Park, NJ a) The employer did not implement a respiratory protection program for employee(s) required to wear respirators such a N95 half face, and a full face respirator with cartridges, while conducting sanding, painting and priming activities of lead containing material. On May 8, 2023, an employee sanding shielding materials in the machine room was exposed to respirable lead concentrations of 120 micrograms per cubic meter of air as an 8 hour Time Weighted Average exceeding the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air by 2.4 times. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of 66 minutes. The shielding material used contained 99.99 percent lead. Violation occurred on or about May 8, 2023.
