29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprocket wheels and chains which are seven (7) feet or less above floors or platforms are not enclosed: The employer did not ensure that a drive chain and sprocket on the resaw feed conveyor is guarded. This violation reportedly occurred on or about October 5, 2016, when employees working in the area and those operating the swing saw, were exposed to hazards created by the rotating parts. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure the machine's chain and sprocket is guarded to protect employees.
