29 CFR 1926.858(d): 29 CFR 1926.858(d): Structural members being dismembered were overstressed. a) 801 Boxwood Road, GM Assembly Plant, Wilmington, DE: On or about January 11, 2019, the employer failed to ensure structural members being dismembered were not overstressed during demolition activities, exposing employees to struck-by hazards. Without removal of the upper floor, steel structural support columns were cut and removed individually during demolition, placing additional stress on the remaining support columns.
