29 CFR 1910.217(f)(2):Instruction to operators. The employer shall train and instruct the operator in the safe method of work before starting work on any operation covered by this section. The employer shall insure by adequate supervision that correct operating procedures are being followed. a) On and before January 20, 2023, the employer did not adequately train and instruct the operator in safe methods of work such as but not limited to visual inspections, barrier guards, two-hand trips, and pull back devices on the Walsh Press & Die Co No 55 full revolution press on safe methods prior to starting work. b) On and before February 1, 2023, the employer did not adequately train and instruct the operators in safe methods of work such as but not limited to visual inspections, restraint devices, two-hand controls, Type A and B gate, and presence sensing devices on the Aida 200 Ton part revolution press on safe methods prior to starting work.
