29 CFR 1910.266(g)(2): The employer shall assure that each vehicle used to perform any logging operation is inspected before initial use during each workshift. Defects or damage shall be repaired or the unserviceable vehicle shall be replaced before work is commenced. a. On the site where logging was performed, the employer did not remove from service the John Deere 640 Skid Steer which was missing the seat belt and fire extinguisher thereby exposing the employees to a struck-by/Fire hazard.
