29 CFR 1926.96: The employer did not ensure employees wore proper footwear which met the requirements and specifications in American National Standard for Men's Safety-Toe Footwear, Z41.1-1967: (a) Command Center, Inc. at 132-136 S. Phillips Ave., Sioux Falls, SD 57104: On or about and at times prior to December 1, 2016 , the exposing employer did not ensure employees engaged in the demolition of a 32- 36 inch wide load bearing wall were wearing the proper foot protection which met the requirements under ANSI Z41.1-1967. Employees were allowed to wear tennis shoes while removing a masonry brick wall. Employees were exposed to falling bricks and larger sections of masonry brick falling in close proximity to employees. This condition exposed employees to crushing hazards related to being struck-by falling masonry bricks.
