29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): Training programs for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards are not provided by the employer. Employees are not able to recognize the hazards of falling and are not trained in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a. Casey Bortles worksite located in Waterville, Ohio: The employer does not ensure employees performing residential roofing operations and exposed to fall hazards of 8 feet 10 inches, were trained on fall hazards and the procedures to be followed to minimize fall hazards, as observed on October 26, 2017 at The Colony at Waterville Landing off Pray Blvd. To abate this hazard, the employer must provide training to all employees exposed to fall hazards to ensure that they are able to recognize the hazards of falling and procedures to eliminate or minimize these hazards.
