29 CFR 1926.451(f)(3): Scaffolds and scaffold components shall be inspected for visible defects by a competent person before each work shift, and after any occurrence which could affect a scaffold's structural integrity. (a) On or about 07/14/2020, the platform used in the outside yard was not inspected for visible defects by a competent person. The platform was built with pallets, OSB wood, scrap wood, wooden studs, 3 walls, an open side, and an open top. The open side allowed the employee to walk onto the platform, which lacked the means to secure it to the forklift.
