29 CFR 1910.1025(g)(1): Appropriate protective work clothing and equipment were not used when employee(s) were exposed to lead above the permissible exposure limit (PEL), without regard to the use of respirators, or where the possibility of skin or eye irritation exists: (a) At Martin Foundry Company Inc.: The employer failed to provide appropriate protective work clothing and personal protective equipment to the employees that were overexposed to an airborne concentration of lead in the workplace. (1) On or about October 30, 2013, an employee was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) level of 60.11 ug/m3 of lead, which is 1.20 times the OSHA permissible exposure level (PEL) of 50 ug/m3 while performing red brass melting and pouring processes.
