29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s). As reference in 29 CFR 1926.59. Location: a) On the second floor of the jobsite at 126 Lafayette Street, New York, NY 10013: On or about March 7, 2023, employees were using handheld power chipping tools to chip into brick walls to demolish them while wearing N-95 respirators. The employees were exposed to respirable crystalline silica. The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for respirable crystalline silica, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area.
