29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. 1) Third floor, West side of the building: On or about July 5, 2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 30 feet while working on the 3rd floor near the edge of the parapet wall (approximately 27 inches in height), in that a fall protection system was not provided for employees.
