29 CFR 1910.119(g)(1)(I): Each employee involved in operating a process, and each employee before being involved in operating a newly assigned process was not trained in an overview of the process and in the operating procedures as specified in paragraph (f) of this section. a) The employer is failing to protect employees from fire/explosion hazards while preparing fireworks for display. This was most recently documented on July 3, 2018 at A.M. Pyrotechnics LLC, located at 2429 E. 535th Road in Buffalo, MO when the employer did not train or presently involve employees in the operating process, and each employee before being involved in operating a newly assigned process. In addition employees were not trained on any safety and health hazards, emergency operations including shutdown, and safe work practices that were applicable to the employee's job tasks. b) The employer is failing to protect employees from fire and explosion hazards. This was most recently documented on or about July 3, 2018 at A.M. Pyrotechnic Displays LLC, located at 2429 E. 535th Road, Buffalo, MO. The employer did not train employees in the operating processes including, but not limited to star rolling, comet pressing, and assembly, and each employee before being involved in operating a newly assigned process. In addition employees were not trained on any safety and health hazards, emergency operations including shutdown, and safe work practices that were applicable to the employee's job tasks.
