29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields. 4 Carelton Drive, Georgetown, MA. Main shop floor. a) On or about December 19, 2018, an employee was welding a metal component in the open warehouse area without positioning a noncombustible or flameproof screen or shield to protect adjacent persons from the rays. b) On or about December 19, 2018, plasma cutting being conducted on a plasma cutting machine was not shielded by a noncombustible or flameproof screen or shield to protect employees in the area of the machine.
