29 CFR 1926.651(k)(2): Where there was evidence of a situation that could result in a possible cave-in or other hazardous condition the competent person did not remove exposed employees until necessary precautions could be taken to ensure their safety: a) Work site was located at 321 NJ 440, Jersey City, NJ 07305 The competent person failed to remove exposed employees from cave in hazards where employees were working in an open unprotected trench in Class C soil that was approximately seven feet, four inches deep, four feet, nine inches wide with sheer walls, spoils set right to the edge and water in the bottom. Violation was observed on or about February 27, 2020.
