29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): a) Production area Thomson die machines: The point of operation on two of the Thomson die cutters were not guarded to protect employees hands and arms during operation, on or about 7/13/15. b) Production area three knife trimmer: The opening of a Hydromat Three Knife Trimmer model SL III M-900 serial number 1822/900/98 where the product is fed into the machine was not guarded to protect employees from moving knife blades, on or about 7/13/15. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
