29 CFR 1910.219(e)(1)(i): Horizontal belts which had both runs 42 inches or less from the floor level were not fully enclosed by guards conforming to requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o):(a) 1) Batch Room #2, Tank #10: On or about November 1, 2017 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to an amputation hazard by not providing a cover/guard on the belt, while employees are adding materials to the tank approximately 36 inches away from the belt. 2) Batch Room #3, Tank #14: On or about November 1, 2017 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to an amputation hazard by not providing a cover/guard on the belt, while employees are adding materials to the tank approximately 54 inches away from the belt. 3) Batch Room #3, Tank #15: On or about November 1, 2017 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to an amputation hazard by not providing a cover/guard on the belt, while employees are adding materials to the tank approximately 54 inches from the belt. 4) Batch Room #3, Tank #18: On or about November 1, 2017 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to an amputation hazard by not providing a cover/guard on the belt, while employees are adding materials to the tank approximately 32 inches away from the belt.
