29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion. Hothead Grabba- 103-27 99th Street, Ozone Park, NY 11417 Warehouse: Employees engaged in tobacco manufacturing activities including shredding, drying, and packing tobacco leaves by using their bare hands were exposed to nicotine. Nicotine is absorbed through the skin. The employer failed to provide the employees with gloves. The employer failed to provide the employees with gloves 5/2/2024. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
