29 CFR 1910.1048(c)(1): Employees were exposed to an airborne concentration of formaldehyde which exceeded 0.75 parts per million, as an 8-hour time weighted average: (a) Embalming Room - An employee conducting embalming operations using formaldehyde-based solutions, including but not limited to Triton 28 containing 26% formaldehyde, was exposed to an 8 -hour time weighted average airborne concentration level of 1.7 parts per million, on or about January 10, 2018. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
