29 C.F.R. � 1926.1207(a): The employer did not provide training to each employee whose work is regulated by this standard, at no cost to the employee, and did not ensure that the employee possessed the understanding, knowledge, and skills necessary for the safe performance of duties assigned under this standard: On or about 4/24/2019, at 20351 Sheridan Street, Pembroke Pines, Florida, employees who entered a 10-foot deep x 5-foot x 5-foot, catch basin with an opening that was covered with a Styrofoam insert/hole former were not trained in the recognition of hazards associated with permit required confined spaces, thus exposing the workers to the hazard of engulfment.
