29 CFR 1910.179(j)(2): Frequent inspection. The following items shall be inspected for defects at intervals as defined in paragraph (j)(1)(ii) of this section or as specifically indicated, including observation during operation for any defects which might appear between regular inspections. All deficiencies such as listed shall be carefully examined and determination made as to whether they constitute a safety hazard: a. 4400 S. Packers - North Receiving Bay - On or about September 23, 2014, the employer had not performed a frequent inspection on the Abell-Howe, Model TR, SG, DM, Serial # 83-17963-1, 10 Ton Crane, thereby exposing employees to fractures and crushing injuries. b. 4400 S. Packers - Production Bay - On or about September 23, 2014, the employer had not performed a frequent inspection on the Abell-Howe, Model # DG, UR, CD, Serial # ML-6918330-1, 5 Ton Crane, thereby exposing employees to fractures and crushing injuries. c. 4400 S. Packers - On or about September 23, 2014, the employer had not performed a frequent inspection on the Contryx, Model #GC2-16, Serial # 21091, 2 Ton - A Gantry Crane, thereby exposing employees to fractures and crushing injuries. d. 4400 S.
