29 CFR 1910.252(c)(1)(iv): The employer did not ensure that each employee is trained in accordance to the provisions of 1910.1200: a) Welding area, on or about 8/3/16: An employee performing air arc-ing was exposed to 44 milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3) of total dust or 2.9 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 15 mg/m3 during the 480 minute sampling period. Welders were not trained on the hazards of the chemicals to which they are exposed. b) Welding area, on or about 8/3/16: An employee performing air arc-ing was exposed to 32 milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3) of iron oxide fume or 3.2 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 10 mg/m3 during the 480 minute sampling period. Welders were not trained on the hazards of the chemicals to which they are exposed. c)) Welding area, on or about 8/3/16: An employee performing air arc-ing was exposed to 0.3 milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3) of copper fume or 3.0 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 0.1 mg/m3 during the 480 minute sampling period. Welders were not trained on the hazards of the chemicals to which they are exposed. d) Welding area, on or about 8/3/16: An employee performing air arc-ing was exposed to 5.6 milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3) of manganese fume or 1.1 times the Ceiling limit of 5.0 mg/m3 during the 480 minute sampling period.
