29 CFR 1910.213(r)(4): Suitable guard(s) were not provided to reduce to a minimum the hazard due to the point of operation: (a) Sawmill: The Reckhart chop saw with a 30 inch blade used to cut 1/2 inch up to 7X9 inch pieces of wood was not provided with a guard that prevented the entry of employees hands into the point of operation, as determined on March 5, 2014. (b) Sawmill: The curtain board drill with an 1 1/2 inch drill bit used to drill 4 holes in a 16 foot board was not provided with a guard that prevented employees from accessing the point of operation, as determined on March 5, 2014. (c) Sawmill: The 1/2 header drill used to drill holes in a 2X8 boards that are 18 inches long and 10 inches thick was not provided with guards that prevented employees from accessing the point of operation, as observed on March 5, 2014. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
