29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(4): Midrails, screens, mesh, intermediate vertical members, or equivalent intermediate structural members were not provided between the top rail of the stairrail system and the stairway steps: a) Worksite: Employees accessed the work areas from the second and third stories of the house using unfinished stairs inside the building. The stairs employees were authorized to use did not have complete stair rail systems in that midrails, screens, mesh, intermediate vertical members, or equivalent intermediate structural members, were not provided between the top rail of the stair rail system and the stairway steps; on or about 7/1/19. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
