29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed: a) Worksite: The scaffold platform was approximately 3.5 feet above the point of access, requiring the use for an appropriate means of access. Employees accessed the scaffolding using a folded stepladder propped against a vertical member onto which outrigger beams were nailed. Employees were exposed to falls in that ladders were not used for the purpose for which they were designed; on or about 7/1/19. Note: In addition to abatement certification the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
