Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 011B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(x): Flexible cords and cables were not protected from accidental damage, as might be caused, for example, by sharp corners, projections, and doorways or other pinch points: a) Stacking bed: On or about March 4, 2016, and at times prior, workers were exposed to electrical hazards where flexible extension cords entered the pulpit through an air conditioner vent and a round hole through the sheet metal wall. b) South rail dock crane: On or about March 4, 2016, and at times prior, crane wiring and equipment did not comply with Subpart S per 1910.179(g)(1)(i), in that workers were exposed to injuries related to electrical fires, shock, and electrocution where the crane cab heater cord entered a panel with no protection from the sharp edges of the opening.
