29 CFR 1910.242(a): Hand and portable powered tools or equipment were not kept in a safe condition: Tools and equipment were not kept in a safe condition in the following instances: a) Catalog Maintenance Tool Crib - The work rest on the Craftsman bench grinder contained two deep grooves or depressions. b) Catalog Safety Shop - The handle was cracked and oily on the Ingersoll Rand pneumatic grinder. c) Tool Crib - The Kalamazoo band saw was not equipped with an adjustable blade guard.
