29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven -7 feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed: a) Line 7; On or about February 25, 2015 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that employees were allowed to walk and work within inches of an unguarded rotating exposed chain and sprockets on the stick machine that were within four feet of the floor. b) Binding Station; On or about February 25, 2015 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that employees were allowed to walk and work within 2 feet of unguarded rotating exposed chains and sprockets on the rollers at the binding station at floor level. c) Rip Saw Conveyor; On or about February 25, 2015 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that employees were allowed to walk and work within 2 feet of an unguarded rotating exposed chains and sprockets 3 feet above floor level on the rip saw conveyor bed. d) Scanner Chain; On or about February 25, 2015 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that employees were allowed to walk and work within 3 feet of an unguarded rotating exposed chain and sprocket 4 feet above floor level at the scanner chain. Linden Lumber Company, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314427402, citation number 1, item number 11 and was affirmed as a final order on October 15, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 23741 US Hwy 43 North, Linden AL 36748.
