29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit-tested prior to initial use of the respirator: a) On or about 4/28/2020 and after, 320 W. Merrick Road, Freeport, NY: Employees, including Registered Nureses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Housekeepers were provided with and required to wear tight-fitting filtering facepiece N95 respirators, including, but not limited to 3M brand, but were not provided with fit tests prior to initial use. Employees were required to use respirators when working around and providing care to patients suspected or confirmed to be infected with COVID-19. Abatement documentation is required for this item.
