29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures are not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees are engaged in activities covered by this section: The employer does not ensure that employees utilize energy control procedures to control hazardous energy prior to changing the blade on the Baker Products Band Resaw. This violation reportedly occurred on or about October 4, 2016, when employees were exposed to amputation and laceration injury while changing the blade. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure energy control procedures are developed and utilized to isolate energy sources. A&D Wood Products, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 108854, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on May 3, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 112 Ward St., Elida, Ohio 45807. A&D Wood Products, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 991395, citation number 3, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on May 9, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 112 Ward St., Elida, Ohio 45807.
