29 CFR 1904.29(b)(7)(v): Needlestick injuries and cuts from sharp objects that are contaminated with another person's blood or other potentially infectious material were not recorded on the OSHA 300 Log as a privacy case: (a) MedStar Washington Hospital Center located at 110 Irving Street, NW Washington, DC 20010: On or about March 11, 2021, the employer did not correctly record a calendar year 2021 OSHA 300 Log injury for a workplace injury (no case# ), when a Clinical Nurse was stuck in the left forearm with an IV Catheter needle being removed from a patient and the injury was not recorded as a privacy case. There were numerous additional CY2020 and CY2021 cases with this same deficiency. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
