29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a. On or about December 19, 2019, at the above addressed jobsite, the portable ladder used to access the first level roof did not extend at least three (3) feet above the upper landing surface, thereby exposing employees to the hazards associated with falls. b. On or about December 19, 2019, at the above addressed jobsite, the portable ladder used to access the second level roof did not extend at least three (3) feet above the upper landing surface, thereby exposing employees to the hazards associated with falls D&R Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1412227, citation number 3, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 3, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 11336 Preakness Dr. in Plainfield, IL. D&R Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1408285, citation number 1, item number 1b, and was affirmed as a final order on July 24, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 902 W. Hawthorne Blvd. in Wheaton, IL. Domingo Garcia dba Domingo Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1318008, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on August 1, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 11134 Third St. in Mokena, IL.
