29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s).(Electronic access and other alternatives to maintaining paper copies of the safety data sheets are permitted as long as no barriers to immediate employee access in each workplace are created by such options.)(Construction reference). Location: 2441-A Boston Rd, Bronx, NY 10467 a) On or about May 14, 2022, the employer did not maintain safety data sheets (SDS) for employees who were using hazardous materials including, but not limited to mortar, which includes hazardous materials including, but not limited to calcium hydroxide, to patch the fa�ade. Note: In addition to abatement certification, the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item, failure to comply will result in an additional penalty of $1,000.00 as per 29 CFR 1903.19.
