29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). On or about June 18, 2023, employees installed a utility pipe in an excavation five (5) feet or more in-depth without cave-in protection. BOONE SERVICES, INC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (name previously cited standard), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1659035, citation number #1, item number #2 and was affirmed as a final order on 05-03-2023, with respect to a workplace located at 8540 Siegen Lane, BATON ROUGE, LA 70816.
