29 CFR 1910.1001(j)(3)(i): The employer did not exercise a due diligent attempt to inform employees and/or other employers about the presence or location of asbestos-containing material (ACM) and presumed asbestos-containing material (PACM): a) 201 Ferry Street, Easton PA Facility - On or about April 23, 2024, and at times prior, employees worked in areas with the presence of asbestos on pipe insulation and the employer did not exercise due diligence to inform current employees who are covered under this section about the location and presence of asbestos. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1001(j)(3)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1458590, citation number 2, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on June 15, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 20711 Holt Avenue, Lakeville, MN. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photograph or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
