29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: a) On or about May 21, 2024, an extension ladder used by employees to gain access to the working surface did not have its side rails extended 3 feet above the upper landing being accessed. Humberto Garcia dba Humberto Garcia was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1436226, citation 1, item 3, and was affirmed final order on November 5, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 201 Fir Ct, Streamwood, IL 60107.
