29 CFR 1910.132(c):Personal protective equipment was not of safe design and construction for the work to be performed: Boston International Airport: On or about May 1, 2023, The gloves provided were not constructed for all the types of work performed during cabin cleaning operations. a. The thin exam style gloves provided, often tore, leaving employees without protection from chemicals used and dirt and waste being cleaned. b. There were no gloves provided with forearms protection that could be used while cleaning inside toilets and reaching into trash containers and pushing down trash. c. There were no heavy gauge gloves readily available for use when contaminated sharps needed to be picked up.
