29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who was exposed to fall hazards that enabled each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a) Sanz Town Rd & Pressburg Lane, Lakewood, NJ: Five GS Brito Contracting LLC employees were installing sheathing on the roof of a three story new construction residential structure without any form of fall protection. The employer did not train each exposed employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. Observed on or about 12/17/2014. The employer, GS Brito Contracting LLC dba Brito Construction, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.503(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 953454, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on 04/01/2014, with respect to a workplace located at 2nd Ave & Ocean Ave., Manasquan, NJ. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
