Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees housed in Bunk House #21 were exposed to the hazards of fire, smoke inhalation, electric shock and electrocution: a)Kitchen - The Gibson Food Master refrigerator was not grounded, and the metal frame of the refrigerator contained 66 volts. Among other methods, one feasible means of abatement would be to provide electrical installations which are in compliance with the National Electrical Code.
