Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electrocution from ungrounded electrical apparatus: a)Egg Processing Plant No. 1 - The small battery charger had the ground pin broken off. b)Egg Processing Plant No. 3 - The battery charger near the dry storage for egg boxes had the ground pin broken off. c)Egg Processing Plant No. 3 - The battery charger near the drivers office had the ground pin broken off. d)Complex 10, Barn 2 - The ground wire on the pit scraper motor No.2 was disconnected and the motor was not grounded. e)Complex 10, Barn 3 - The ground wire for the manure auger fan was broken and the motor was ungrounded. f)Complex 10, Barn 12 - The ground wire was broken off both the pit scraper motors and the motors were not grounded. g)Complex 40, Barn 43 - The two 600,000 BTU Salamender heaters that were being used to heat the barn were not grounded. h)Rendering Plant - The battery charger used to charge the batteries in the pallet jack was not grounded due to the ground pin being broken off the plug. i)Rendering Plant - The four way duplex receptacle in the electrical control room is not permanently and continuously grounded. j)Rendering Plant - The 240 volt receptacle that the power washer was plugged into was not grounded. k)Complex 80, Barn Maintenance Shop - The hand operated portable drill was not grounded and contained 4 volts on the metal frame. l)Plant 8, Southeast Corner - The employee time clock was not grounded and contained 37 volts on the metal frame. m)Plant 8, Southeast Corner - The wall mounted receptacle was defective due to the broken ground prong lodged in the lower outlet. n)Plant 8, Egg Sanitizer - The blue outdoor extension cord supplying power to the egg sanitizer contained a broken ground prong. o)Plant 8, USDA Grading Station - The four outlet receptacle above the grading table was not equipped with a grounding conductor. p)Trailer #22, Kitchen - The exhaust fan, which was mounted above the stove, was not grounded.
