29 CFR 1926.20(b)(1): It shall be the responsibility of the employer to initiate and maintain such programs as may be necessary to comply with this part. The employer does not ensure an effective safety and health program was in place to protect employees from hazards while performing framing work. This most recently occurred on November 5, 2019 on the jobsite located at 12519 Preservation Way, Pickerington, Ohio 43147. The employer did not maintain a safety and health program to ensure hazards were identified and corrected onsite while performing framing work. Hazards included, but were not limited to, fall hazards of up to 20 feet, fall protection use and requirements, unsafe use of ladders, no training on ladders. Alejandro Vazquez Gallegos was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.20(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1397321, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 20, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 73, 2635 Clemton Park West, Blacklick, Ohio. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance, including a description of how these steps protect its employees from the fall hazards.
