29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets: Janiec Roofing, Inc, and Chet Janiec does not ensure that employees use protective helmets where there is a possibility of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns. This violation was most recently observed, on or about 1/28/2021, at 11 Harrison Avenue, Saddle Brook, NJ, at instance (a) Two Story Single Family Home (Exterior right side): Employees were exposed to a head injury while employees were engaged in roofing work above. The employer did not ensure that employees working below roofing work were protected by protective helmets, thus exposing employees to a struck by hazard to the head. (b) Two Story Single Family Home (Exterior left side): Employees were exposed to a head injury while employees were engaged in roofing work above. The employer did not ensure that employees working below roofing work were protected by protective helmets, thus exposing employees to a struck by hazard to the head, (c) Two Story Single Family home (Exterior front): Employees were exposed to a head injury while employees were engaged in roofing work above. The employer did not ensure that employees working below roofing work were protected by protective helmets, thus exposing employees to a struck by hazard to the head. The Janiec Roofing, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.100(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1428641, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/4/21, with respect to a workplace located at 75 East Clinton Ave Bergenfield NJ 07621.
