29 CFR 1910.272(g)(2): When entering the grain handling facility bins, silos, or tanks from a level at or above the level of standing grain or grain products, employees did not wear a body harness with lifeline, or use a boatswain's chair that met the requirements of Subpart D, 29 CFR 1910.28(j): (a) On or about March 15, 2016, an employee was exposed to engulfment hazards while working inside a grain storage bin without the benefit of a body harness with lifeline where grain was in excess of 10 feet high against the wall where he was working. High Country Elevators, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 77437, Citation Number 1, Item Number 11d, and was affirmed as a final order on September 1, 2011.
