29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders are used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails do not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) The employer fails to ensure effective protection against falls while using a ladder to access the second level of house is conducted as required by the standard, as demonstrated on or about August 20, 2019, at 901 Gallipoli Court, Lot 27 West Richland, Auburn, Alabama, when employees are using an extension ladder to gain access to the second level of the home, are exposed to a fall hazard of 10 feet 7 inches to the floor below. Jaime Martinez, dba Jaime Martinez was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1349562, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on February 2, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 32/34 West Richland Subdivision, Auburn, Alabama 36832. Jaime Martinez, dba Jaime Martinez was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1322075, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 25, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 964 West Richland Circle, Lot 47, Auburn, Alabama 36832.
